Research Intern, The International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) - Provided by WUJS Israel  

ICT is looking for an intern to join the research team and take responsibility for gathering and analyzing data and information from various intelligence sources. As a member of this team, you will assist in evaluating data and recommending solutions and policies. As part of this unique team you be supporting the efforts to prevent terrorism.

Research Fellow, The Reut Institute - Provided by Israel Government Fellows  

Fellows at the Reut Institute will participate as team members in both ‘knowledge-development’ and ‘impact’ efforts. The iEngage Junior Research Fellow will provide research, content, and technological support for the iEngage media and public relations staff. The Fellow will be welcomed as a key part of the team, and will be welcomed to help shape a conversation that already is having tremendous impact in the Jewish world.

Internship, Kav-La Oved - Provided by Israel Way – Oranim  

As an intern you will conduct web-based research on issues relating to trafficking and migrations and conduct day long visits to prisons and detention centers holding undocumented foreign nationals. As an intern you may also get involved in fundraising and writing content for marketing and PR materials, as well as reaching out to foreign media and other external sources

Kav-La Oved is dedicated to promoting the rights of undocumented migrant workers and eliminating sex and labor trafficking in Israel. The organizations aims to build a more just, equitable, and democratic society, by providing crisis intervention, legal action, and promoting grassroots educational and social change among academia, the media, and policymakers in Israel.

ARDC Internship (different title depending on internship chosen, ARDC - Provided by Israel Way – Oranim  

ARDC interns may choose to get involved in the following fields: Education for the refugees, raising awareness and advocating to the Israeli public about the plight of the refugees, fundraising and conducting legal and social policy research, aiding in women shelters, and/or coordinating projects independently.

ARDC provides humanitarian aid and advocacy to African refugees seeking asylum in Israel. The organization runs two shelters in Tel Aviv for the refugees and provides them with direct service, legal aid and education.

Med Assistant Internship, Kiryat Shalom Rehabilitation Center - Provided by Israel Way – Oranim  

As an intern you will be shadowing professionals in the medical field that work at the Rehabilitation Center. This will allow you to learn about managing health systems and operations. You will be assisting the staff with various tasks, such as restocking medical supplies, feeding the patients, and observing doctor’s visits.

The Rehabilitation Center specializes in neuropsychology. The facility treats patients from the ages of 18-50 years old that have motor and/or cognitive problems following an accident. It puts a strong emphasis on helping these individuals re-establish their normal lives for themselves.

Marketing and fundraising internship, WIZO (Women’s International Zionist Organization) - Provided by Israel Way – Oranim  

As an Intern with WIZO you will receive exposure to international fundraising, conferences and seminars. This internship is comprised of multiple components. Tasks will include writing the content for the World WIZO quarterly e-newsletter; participating in the creation of new marketing materials for WIZO campaign; assisting in planning the annual World WIZO four day seminar and assisting with writing follow-up reports and profiles to receive grants.

Research assistant to Executive Director, Itach-Women Lawyers for Social Justice - Provided by Israel Way – Oranim  

This a very independent and self-driven internship with the potential for great growth and personal reward. While interning at Itach you will be responsible for developing the company’s website by finding and uploading engaging content. Interns will need to research legislation and policies, both in Israel and globally, related to social change for woman’s rights.

Global Entrepreneurship Program Manager, StartTau - Provided by Israel Way – Oranim  

Current Intern’s are responsible for the creation of StarTau’s new English website. They work with the graphic designers and web developers to create the page. Additionally, the Intern is responsible to research various entrepreneurial centers around the world to integrate them into StarTau’s network. They also put together business plans and assist other staff members on various projects.

StarTau, Tel Aviv University’s Entrepreneurship Center, was established in 2009 in order to serve Israel’s aspiring entrepreneurs, specifically focusing on TAU students and alumni. StarTau is a non-profit organization that assists businesses and entrepreneurs from a variety of business fields.

Research and Marketing | NATAL Trauma Center - Provided by Career Israel  

The Intern hired here will work in the international department and have opportunities to interview the NATAL professionals. The intern will also be responsible for the social media and marketing for the center, including blog writing, Facebook/Twitter updates, and writing articles.

NATAL trauma center is a non-profit organization established to increase public awareness of National Psycho trauma caused by the Israeli-Arab conflict. NATAL seeks to provide emotional and psychological treatment to any Israeli suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder as a result of the Arab-Israeli conflict. The center trains professionals and at risk populations throughout Israel in prevention and coping mechanisms for PTSD.

Coexistence Educator, American Corner Arab-Jewish Community Center - Provided by Career Israel  

Interns will gain experience in English tutoring as well as participate in the Big Brother/Sister program. In addition, interns will assist with program coordination/public Relations by helping the director set up, run, and promote the programs that the center undertakes. Daily tasks will include items such as brainstorming, research, data entry, updating the social media sites, as well as other routine tasks.

This is an organization funded partially by the American Embassy and the Municipality of Tel Aviv Jaffa. American Corner AJCC runs a number of different programs, all with the aim of promoting American values, such as tolerance, co-existence, and democracy.

Public and Internal Communications Internship

The leader of this initiative is a rabbi who has served as a former Minister of Diaspora Affairs, Deputy Foreign Minister, Deputy Minister of Education and member of Knesset for the Meimad Party. He was one of Israel’s leading legislators initiating and completing major legislative reforms in the areas of education, children’s rights, the environment, and social justice. Today, this rabbi leads a variety of civil society movements that he helped build over the last decade including a network of Jewish pluralistic schools, bridging the gap between secular and religious communities; and a forum looking to promote equality between Jews and Arabs in Israel, working towards the equal distribution of resources.

The initiative is a conglomeration of different not-for-profit organizations in Israel, meaning that the Public and International Communications Intern will need to maintain close communication with the directors of each organization to stay informed on the wide array of activities. The position allows for the intern to take initiative on reporting on these activities creatively. Daily intern responsibilities include: developing content for the website, writing articles and stories, and staying updated on the impact of each organization. This joint government/municipal corporation, under the authority of the Minister of Finance, the Minister for Jerusalem Affairs and the Mayor, serves many varied functions including: the initiation of activities and preparation of plans for the economic development of Jerusalem and to encourage economic initiative for the development of Jerusalem. The corporation has a council made up of members, most of whom are representatives of the government (public sector employees), the municipality (elected officials and employees) and the public.

Prime Minister’s Office

The Department is in charge of Restitution of Rights and Jewish Property from the Holocaust (Shoah) Era, and from Arab countries. The Department is also a part of the Prague process and the national Israeli advisory council for Restitution of Jewish Property and other boards concerning the same matter.

The Research and Resource Assistant will mostly perform research, update country files,, deal with research on the rights of Jews from Arab countries and Iran and serve as a resource person in the areas of speech writing, article writing and English language in general.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs – International Development Internship

Israel’s National Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV) is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring Israel’s international development assistance program. Programs are implemented in Israel and throughout the developing world.
Interns will work as a Desk Officer in Research & Support for International Development Issues. Interns will be responsible for: conducting research and analysis of the latest developments and trends in international development policy, discourse and practice, assisting the Director of Policy Planning and External Relations in strengthening the Israeli involvement with the OECD, preparation of briefings for specific meetings or visits overseas, provision of written material for statements and speeches, and taking minutes of meetings.

Advocacy and Project Coordination Internship

This organization provides humanitarian aid and advocacy to African refugees seeking asylum in Israel. The organization aims to raise awareness of the plight of the refugees and runs two shelters in Tel Aviv for the refugees, providing them with direct service, legal aid and education.

Non-Profit Development Internship

The organization’s mission is to help impoverished children and youth to realize their full potential. In addition to providing educational enrichment programs, the institute supports the physical and emotional welfare of the children as they transition through the years. Environmental Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Internship

This is an Israeli environmental NGO founded in 1999 with the goal of protecting the seas and rivers of Israel through conservation, activism, research, awareness-raising and education. For the past nine years the organization has initiated local and national campaigns that target unchallenged municipalities, corporations and the national government on their negligence and destruction of Israel’s most precious resource, water.

Interns will work with environmental innovators and get real life experience in the field of environmental activism, policy, communication, education and fundraising.
Responsibilities of this water preservation internship include: planning event logistics and participation in beach cleanup events, supporting educational programming for North American youth groups traveling in Israel, updating blog, website, and social media pages with current news and information, performing research for various environmental campaigns, participating in campaign promotional activities at universities and other events throughout Israel, researching grants and assisting in resource development, and assisting with daily office administrative duties.
